During April, partners compiled their national research reports on domestic violence. Each partner produced a comprehensive description of the legal situation on DV in itsespecially Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne, Stuttgart and Munich.
A new trend in Germany is to regard as marginalized groups. After a long discussion of female rights, equal rights from women etc. schools and vocational training centers started to talk about a “boy problem” and about “young men being victims” of social pressure, lack of support, high competitiveness with girls (who receive support from the government) and problems during male puberty. Thus, the number of male victims of domestic violence has been increasing during the last years.
Most victims of Muslim background in Germany are women. The environments of female Turkish migrants with traditional, conservative family structures are characterized by the following:
